Bible Question: If some people are chosen for salvation and some are chosen for hell how come the Bible says that God didn't make hell for people but only for satan and his angels, and how come we seem to be able to choose to sin even after we are saved. This would seem to go against God's will for His children. any help on this one would be much appreciated. |
Bible Answer: God did not make hell for humans, and you are right, it was created for satan and his angels, the 1/3 of heaven who fell with him. We chose to sin because our old nature still wants to come back and rule our lives. When we were sinners , we had no choice but to sin: there was no hope for eternal life in heaven for us. When we accepted God's precious gift that his Son allowed us access to through the cross, our old nature was washed away. We still have the free will that we were born with, but now we have the capability to do good, because we have the Holy Spirit living inside of us. So we stll choose to sin sometimes, bu when we fall, we have our Heavenly Father there to pick us up again and forgive us. |
