Subject: do we have any free will? |
Bible Note: Brian Your exactly right, men not making the connection to Psalm 22 have explained what Jesus said using flawed human reasoning. By doing so they made jesus flawed. Thus we know the explanation has to be wrong. When we read Psalm 22 and see Jesus referring to it, in a way that would mean something to those that truly sought God, we see Jesus wasn't questioning His relationship with God but bringing conviction upon those that called for His death. Notice also how He did it at the very end so there was no way for them to interfere when they did make the connection. Jesus knew He had to die. This was an act of love not an act of a lack of faith.
