Bible Question: If some people are chosen for salvation and some are chosen for hell how come the Bible says that God didn't make hell for people but only for satan and his angels, and how come we seem to be able to choose to sin even after we are saved. This would seem to go against God's will for His children. any help on this one would be much appreciated. |
Bible Answer: It's just my opinion that - The Lord wants us to pray for sinners. To show mercy as he does. There is a parable about Jesus and the rich man. Jesus told the rich man to give away all his worldly goods and follow him! This is the way to Heaven. When the man couldn't do it, he turned and walked away. "...and Jesus loved him." Because The Lord loves our free will. Loves our humanity. Can we have mercy for someone like John Wayne Gayce or Osuma bin Laden? Can we pray for them to be released from Hell? At the risk of sounding flippant, most days we are busy wishing the person who just cut us off in traffic would 'go to hell.' I read somewhere that since God sent His only Son to redeem us from Hell that to damn someone or to wish them to Hell is the worst slight against God that we can enact. Straight to the heart with that one. |
