Subject: Was it complete? |
Bible Note: Emmaus, I will sing of the mercies of the Lord forever! I will sing hymns and songs of praise to my God in my heart the day long! Please forgive me for intruding in this discussion (debate). I'm sure that you've noticed from my previous postings that I am not very well educated. In fact, as I have posted previously to the Searcher, you will find the description of me in the following verse: 1 Cor 1:26 For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; In a previous descussion on the subject of water baptism you made some points that I thought were excellent, I had posted a question about the criminal on the cross who was not baptised in water yet Jesus said that he would be in paradise with Him. We may never have closeur(sp?) on this subject in the forum but it is always interesting when it comes up now and then. I still wonder though about the necessity of water baptism for salvation. One other example is: Matt 9:2 And they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralytic, "Take courage, son; your sins are forgiven." 5 Matt 9:6 "But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins"--then He *said to the paralytic, "Get up, pick up your bed and go home." This man's sins were forgiven without water baptism. By the way, I believe that we ought to be baptised in water. I myself was baptised in a small lake. It was a wonderful experience! Cyclist I will bless the Lord at all times! His praise shall continually be in my mouth! |
