Bible Note: Greetings Grace and Truth! So, is it a 'work' or not. My point was simply that one cannot 'do' something which is not a 'work'. You have argued all along that baptism is a 'work of faith', but now you want to change your position and say that baptism is not a 'work'. Which is it? ;-) p.s. - You still haven't explained the conflict between your interpretation of Acts 2:38 and the historical account of Act 10! According to your interpretation, forgiveness of sins and the reception of the gift of the Holy Spirit are both the result of following the commands to 'repent' and to 'be baptized'. How then did the individuals in Acts 10 receive the Gift of the Holy Spirit before they were baptized? Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
