Subject: Is God's will prosperity/healing always? |
Bible Note: Inmyheart In this or one of the other threads either you or Graceful asked why I was so opposed to WOF. Let me explain. In WOF you are lead to believe if you have faith and a positive confession things will work out the way you want them too. This is good until something happens, then what? Well the WoF say oh you didn't have enough faith or you must have sinned. Now here is where I come in, I have had to go in and try to pick of the pieces of these people's lives when their positive confession, faith and almost constant confession of sin failed to keep their baby alive, their wife from dying from cancer or make their sick father well. And their WoF preachers have walked away blaming them. They are blaming themselves for not having enough faith, having sin in their lives or speaking the wrong things. They have nothing left to believe in since what they believed failed them. You see they believed God had to heal their loved one and THAT JUST DOESN’T ALWAYS HAPPEN. So there I sit holding them, crying with them and encouraging them. Telling them God is alive, God does care, that God is there for them, His strength is sufficient to see them through this and that even in this God will make it work out to their and their loved ones good. By God’s mercy each has made it through. I do this while some slick talker on TV is convincing another that all they have to do is send money, confess their heart desires and have faith and baby they will be in heaven on earth. After you have done this three or four times you soon develop a bad taste for name it and claim it, blab it and grab it, confess it and possess it WOF teaching. Incidentally those TV preachers don’t come to the funeral home, hospital bedside or to the nursing home to be with the people that are listening to their junk and supporting them. I hope this gives you some insight to the destruction WoF teaching plays in the hearts and lives of people when it fails to deliver all that it has promised. Praying for you. EdB |
