Bible Note: Inmyheart No what your doing is making the scripture say what you want it to say. If what you say would be true then something bad had to have gone wrong in the lives of each Apostle since each Apostle died horrible deaths. All except John and church legend has it he survived being boiled in oil and was horribly disfigured. Something had to have gone terribly wrong in the lives of the early Christian saints, as they watched their loved one killed and tortured while they prayed for their tormentor. (imagine praying for the man in the process of killing your children). Or as they were having their bodies wrapped in animal skin and then dipped in pitch suspended from poles and set afire. Their flaming bodies providing light for Nero’s garden as their voices sang praise to God. Something must have gone terribly wrong in the lives of Christians all around the world today as they starve, are persecuted, and murdered for the name of Jesus Christ. Young Christian men being sold into slavery and young Christian women being sold into slavery of prostitution. Do you know there has been more Christians die for the name of Jesus in the last 20 years than died in all of the first 300 years of the church? Christians are dying brutal horrible deaths while you manipulate scripture and say it doesn’t have to be that way. Yet you sit all snug, well feed and safe in America and smugly and say if you had enough faith life would be a bowl of cherries. God never promised a life without problems only that He would be with us through it. God never promised wealth only sufficient supply to allow us to accomplish the task God set before us. God never promised health only the strength to walk through all of life’s adversities, God never promised deliverance from all things evil, He promised that if we persevered we would have eternal life. We live in a fallen world Jesus did not come to take us out of that fallen world but to become lights within it. Call me childish but your Health Wealth Deliverance prattle is sickening in light of the events taking place in the lives of true Christians. EdB |
