You continue, "...it's our faith in God's grace that he sent his Son Jesus to save us from the penalty of death." Disagree. It is not our faith in God's grace that saves. The proper sequence of thought is this: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God" [Eph.2:8] The faith that saves, you see, is faith in Jesus Christ, the person; not faith in grace, the thing. --Hank |
