NASB | Romans 6:4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 6:4 We have therefore been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory and power of the Father, we too might walk habitually in newness of life [abandoning our old ways]. |
Bible Question: Will some please address this verse in rom. 6:4 When does newness of life start? |
Bible Answer: The Bible is Right...the momment that we give our life to Jesus we start a new life...its called the new birth as in John 3 when we are born of the spirit...2 Cor 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ,he is a new creature:old things are passed away;behold, all things are become new...you may look like the same person on the outside but the minute that you recieve Jesus as your Savior your newness of life starts...consider that person dead is what the Lord is telling us...the new life that we live is for the Lord...our past life is not who we are anymore...we are to be dead to sins...before our salvation we were alive in sin, living anyway the devil wanted us to...God forbid we should live like that in our new life(Romans 6:2)...just a little testamony in that I hate the person I was before Jesus saved me...when I recieved Jesus I was glad that person died...soon after I got Baptized, and have been going full blast since then...Thank the Lord for the new life...when does it start...the minute you ask Jesus to come into your heart...God Bless |
