Subject: What if you don't obey that command? |
Bible Note: Hi, Tim! I was just thinking as I read TBI Right's post and your response to it that, to be in accord with the reasoning contained in Right's post, the repentent sinner should make it his business to be within 60 minutes of a body of water big enough and deep enough for immersion before taking the "risk" of coming to Christ and not being able to get immersed before the clock ran out on him! If this serves to illustrate any point, -- and I sincerely feel that it does -- I believe the point is that it is foolish to ride a private hobby-horse to death in a vain effort to extract from Scripture doctrines that simply aren't there; to deduce when there is nothing from which to draw a deduction; to make much ado about a point about which Scripture clearly does not. Oh me, oh my, dear Tim, when I logged on to this forum 16 months ago, scarcely could I have imagined then how many answers there are to two plus two. :-) --Hank |
