Subject: When does newness of life start? |
Bible Note: Praise God for your faithfulness in studying the Word of God. John 3:5 Jesus responds to Nicodemus question from verse 4, Jesus reply to him shatters the Jewish assuption that their racial identity (old birth) assured them a place in God's Kingdom. The Jews were looking for the Messiah to bring in a new world in which Jews would be pre-eminet. But Jesus came to bring new life, in which "HE" would be preeminent. Yes, I believe that we should be obident to God's command to be baptized, to bury that old nature to walk anew in the Spirit, for we walk by faith and not by sight. Is it a requirement to be baptized to be saved? No. Should you be obident to God and be baptized, yes. God Bless |
