NASB | Romans 6:4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 6:4 We have therefore been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory and power of the Father, we too might walk habitually in newness of life [abandoning our old ways]. |
Subject: What if you don't obey that command? |
Bible Note: And he took them that very hour of the night and washed their wounds, and immediately he was baptized, he and all his household. (NASB) AMPLIFIED Acts 16:33 And he took them the same hour of the night and bathed [them because of their bloody] wounds, and he was baptized immediately and all [the members of] his [household]. I got this passage from two translations and I know you are aware of. And they both say the same thing about what hour the jailer was baptized. Please be honest with yourself, and don't play on words, because it can't be any clearer than what is given. |
