Subject: Can one who commits suicide be saved? |
Bible Note: Unless suicide itself is a form of blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Unless one must ask forgiveness of sin. Unless one must believe in Christ for the forgiveness of sin. Unless one must repent. Unless true salvation requires a relationship with Christ that would preclude the desire or willingness to commit suicide. Jesus' statement implies any sin except the Blaspheming of the Holy Spirit can be forgiven. Why? Because Blaspheming the Holy Spirit is basically dening the power of the Holy Spirit. What is suicide? Is it not saying there is nothing in heaven and earth that can save me from this situation? Including the Holy Spirit! Sorry my friend you can never convince me that a truly saved person could commit suicide. How God judges them is another question one that I don't know the answer too. EdB |
