Subject: Can one who commits suicide be saved? |
Bible Note: EdB: You write: "The sin of suicide is to me is the fact that you did not have a saving relationship with Christ. Had you had such a relationship it would be impossible to suicide to begin with." It is not clear to me what logic led to this conclusion. But, whatever it is, by the same logic we would have to conclude that: Any and every sin is [due to] the fact that you did not have a saving relationship with Christ. Had you had such a relationship it would be impossible to sin. Where does the Bible say that suicide (or murder) is different than every other sin? According to 1Co 6:18 (ASV): "Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body." This verse differentiates between fornication and every other sin. But where does the Bible differentiate between suicide/murder and every other sin? --kalos |
