Subject: Can one who commits suicide be saved? |
Bible Note: wow. what is wrong with your view of God. Well for starters, God is not limited to our understanding of time or our understanding of Him. Once we ask for forgiveness, that forgiveness transcends time. All sin before and after is forgiven. The explanation comes from understanding the word "covenant." What is a covenant? It is a joining of two unique bodies into one through a promise. When Abraham joined God in a blood covenant by cutting an animal in half and walking through the center, God walked through as well and it was as if they had always been joined. As we enter into a blood covenant with Jesus, we see our relationship become the same as shown to us through the Abraham covenant. Our past, present, and future are all three altered and we become an entirely different being. Our very nature changes as does our inheritance. We essentially inherit the Kingdom of God as Jesus takes our place in death. As death's only conquorer He makes this covenant complete. Essentially we have no sin in God's eyes, past, present, or future because we have accepted Jesus as our blood covenant. And the scripture teaches that nothing can snatch us out of His hand. Suicide is obviously a sin, but lets be realistic, no one has ever gone through their own life and found every single area where they sinned and asked for forgiveness. In this realm of thought we all have unforgiven sin. thankfully i serve a God who forgives even what i cannot remember or know that i have done. My God is just and judges me as His child, while Jesus my savior took all of my sin upon His shoulders 2000 years ago on Calvary. Thankfully He doesnt have to die every time I sin, and His power is greater than our understanding of time. Of course suicide is wrong, but if the person is a Christian then of course they go to heaven. |
