Subject: Can one who commits suicide be saved? |
Bible Note: Greetings Pam, Quite right, quite right.. A definite answer is in order, and my definite answer I will give. A person who commits suicide can still go to heaven. And I say 'can' in a sense that it is not I, or any human being, who determines who is saved and who is not saved, but only the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus said that every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven of men, except for blasphemy against the Holy Spirit (Matt. 12:31). Therefore, the sins of murder and suicide can and will be forgiven by Christ. But salvation itself is dependent upon our relationship to Christ, regardless of how we finally perish. Blessings to you, Makarios |
