1 | Mark 16:16 what does it say? | Bible general Archive 1 | prayon | 51040
It is not the water of baptism that saves, but God's grace accepted through faith in Christ. Because of Jesus' response to the thief on the cross that died with him, we know it is possible to be saved without being baptized (Luke 23:43). Baptism alone without faith does not automatically bring a person to heaven. Those who refuse to believe will be condemned, regardless of whether or not they have been baptized. You put on Christ by taking off the old "self" and becoming a new person in Jesus Christ. Could you please put only one basic question per entry. Thanks, it will help us to answer you more fully. prayon |

2 | Mark 16:16 what does it say? | Bible general Archive 1 | Grace and Truth | 51145
AGAIN, DON'T MISUNDERSTAND ME, I HAVE NOT SAID AND WILL NEVER SAY THAT BAPTISM ALONE SAVES ANYONE! I HAVE TAUGHT AND HAVE BEEN TAUGHT THAT ALL OF WHAT WE DO IN CHRIST IS (THROUGH "FAITH") AND THAT'S WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES!! YOU AND THOSE WHO BELIEVE LIKE YOU REFER TO THE THIEF! FOR A CLEARER UNDERSTANDING, SHOW US WHAT THE APOSTLES TOLD THE PEOPLE AFTER THE RESURRECTION, THE LAW OF CHRIST WAS NOT IN AFFECT UNTIL AFTER THE RESURRECTION! HEB9:16-17 FOR WHERE A TESTAMENT IS, THERE MUST ALSO OF "NECESSITY" BE THE DEATH OF THE TESTATOR. 17 FOR A TESTAMENT IS OF FORCE "AFTER" MEN ARE (DEAD): OTHERWISE (IT IS OF NO STRENGTH AT "ALL" WHILE THE TESTATOR LIVETH). Now what is the writer saying HERE? That the thief recieved his blessing before the LAW OF CHRIST WAS IN FORCE! So when you are remembering the thief, remember also the TESTATOR JESUS CHRIST HAD NOT DIED FOR OUR SINS WHEN HE BLESSED THE THIEF; AND HE HAD NOT YET BEEN RAISED FROM THE DEAD: HIS LAW TO THOSE WHO WOULD LIVE AFTER HIS RESURRECTION WAS NOT IN AFFECT UNTIL HE WENT BACK TO HEAVEN!!!! |

Grace and Truth: THERE IS NO NEED TO SHOUT YOUR MESSAGE. What you are saying is really not THAT urgent, and shouting does nothing but cause additional irritation with your remarks. --Hank
