2 | Mark 16:16 what does it say? | Bible general Archive 1 | prayon | 51040
It is not the water of baptism that saves, but God's grace accepted through faith in Christ. Because of Jesus' response to the thief on the cross that died with him, we know it is possible to be saved without being baptized (Luke 23:43). Baptism alone without faith does not automatically bring a person to heaven. Those who refuse to believe will be condemned, regardless of whether or not they have been baptized. You put on Christ by taking off the old "self" and becoming a new person in Jesus Christ. Could you please put only one basic question per entry. Thanks, it will help us to answer you more fully. prayon |

3 | Mark 16:16 what does it say? | Bible general Archive 1 | Robert Nicholson | 51048
Prayon I would go further to say that baptisum or the ritual thereof will not cover one sin. If a person is immersed in the waters of baptism without faith in Christ, they simply go into the water dry and come up wet. As far as God is concerned there is no forgiveness apart from the precious blood of Christ. Robert |
