1 | Can one who commits suicide be saved? | Ex 20:13 | HeirofGod | 186747
Please refer to the response I gave yesterday. (Starting with "Thank you for your words...") I must repeat this though, you are not going to sway me. I have quoted scripture from the time I started writing responses to this. We need to quit "arguing" about scripture and get a revelation about them. Have you ever tried to commit suicide? I have!!! I know what it means to repent, I also know the definition. I have been saved a long time my friend. We are sitting here debating about something that is the least bit important at this stage in the time table. Saving souls is what's important now, not what all our opinions are. I use Judas because he is New Testament which is what most people use now to base thier points. I know about Sampson, because we've been there before.(Earlier in this discussion). Let's also, on this point, agree to disagree. You can't move me from where I am, because I have felt what suicidal people feel. I can't move you from where you are. There are alot of things that I've written on this forum that I wish I hadn't been so zealous when I wrote them because they where in err. God has shown me alot about myself since then. People say experience is the best teacher. Unless you've been there you can only talk about it. I know. Sorry I can't come to a better conclusion for you to understand what I mean. Let's stop arguing on here and start edifying people. All of us are saved right?

I agree that arguing about the issue may not at all edify anyone and arguing is rarely productive. I do have to stand by my calling you to account for your teaching with Scripture; but I certainly appreciate that I can not force you too. We can agree to disagree but I can't agree to sit passively by while you or anyone else presents opinion as biblical teaching. You see friend, the matters of life and death and the condition of ones soul are not matters that two differing "opinions" can both be right on. Hardly points to agree to disagree on. Rather, we should do our best to present to others what Scripture says on such matters and remain silent where Scripture is silent. I'm not so interested in "moving you from where you are" as you put it. I'm more concerned about addressing teachings that don't agree with the bible. "All of us are saved right?" No, wrong my friend. I suspect that there might be hundreds if not more who visit this site, some regularly, that are still unsaved. More the reason to insure what we teach is sound. God bless, Jeff |
