1 | Suicide, lost? | Ex 20:13 | HeirofGod | 3080
I strongly disagree. Jesus said himself in his prayer that none of the ones that God gave him was lost "save" which means except, the son of perdition. Will you deny something Jesus said himself. Even though it is scripture that Jesus would be betrayed it could have been any of the twelve. It didn't say Judas would betray him in the prophecy just that he would be betrayed. Yes Satan did enter into Judas but not because he wasn't a believer to begin with but because there wasn't a spirit dwelling within him since the Holy Spirit had not been introduced as an indweller. Only a person who is filled with the Holy Spirit can withstand possesion. My computer keeps tearing me from finding the scripture that I base my point on but I will find it and write another note. 2 | Did Jesus lose Judas? | Ex 20:13 | Hugger | 3473
HeirofGod, sorry so late getting back on this one. John 6:64 Jesus was talking.."Yet there are some of you who do not believe." For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him. So, this clearly says to me that Judas was not a believer to begin with even though he was one of the twelve he was there to fulfill scripture. Jesus did not lose anyone. John 6:39. Thanks for being patient. Hugger |

3 | Did Jesus lose Judas? | Ex 20:13 | HeirofGod | 3540
Hugger, I asked the ministers in my church about this one. He also said the same scripture you quoted. He knew that Judas would betray him, yes. But! Judas was still lost. When he said that all of the ones his Father gave him were not lost save the son of perdition he was talking about everyone who has accepted him and will finish the race. (He was looking at long term). Judas is the only one who started with him who ended up going to hell. So you were right about Judas being a devil from the start, but he was still lost. These kinds of questions make you study!! In Christ.
