Bible Note: Greetings Ken John! So, 'spoo-dad'-zo' is the word that the KJV is translating as 'study'! I have a couple of questions for you then: 1) Why doesn't the KJV translate any of the other ten occurances of this word as 'study'? 2) Given that Strong's lists the meaning as 'make effort' or 'be diligent', why would the NIV be wrong to translate this verb as 'Do your best'? 3) One last point if I may, God's Word says 'spoo-dad'-zo', the King James translation says 'study'! :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
