Subject: I have a related question for anyone... |
Bible Note: Hi dgregg, Now you have come to the capitalization question. Should Truth be capitalized? You have written "Truth of the Word". I believe that the "knowledge of the truth" occurances should NOT be capitalized. However, I believe that Jesus is indeed the Way, the Truth, and the Life. But just as He is the Light of the world and He came as light and enlightens every man; while He is the Truth He speaks the truth [sic]. As for the truth of the Word may I offer this interpretation for what is worth. I have it "penciled in" my personal copy right now. Titus 1:1-4, "Paul, a bond-servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus (Christ), for the faith of those chosen of God and the knowledge of the truth, *the One who is according to godliness, 2 in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ago, 3 but at His proper time manifested, even His Word/, in the the proclamation with which I was entrusted according to the commandment of God our Savior; 4 to Titus, my true child in a common faith: Grace and peace from (God) the Father and the *Lord, Christ Jesus our Savior." We should also look at verse 9. From the heart, Ray |
