Subject: I have a related question for anyone... |
Bible Note: when we recieve salvation which is of the Lord... do we lose our own free will to choose God's way or the worlds way? are we no longer a free moral agent to do as we please? Mat 6:24. No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. must we not choose or is that right taken away when we chose Christ? as much as we love the Lord is it not written: KJV 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 9. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10. Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. now these things I once was but am not any more. But do I lose my freewill to do these things again. If I chose to do the things again such as getting drunk and committing adultery and the word says that "these" shall not enter the Kingdom of God. I am scared to death of God's Judgement and fear to test God to see if He allows such to enter into His Kingdom.Knowing what His word says..."THESE SHALL NOT ENTER" is enough to keep the fear of God where it needs to be. I would much rather hear: ASV Matthew 25:21 21. His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will set thee over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy lord. I am glad that my salvation is dependant upon Jesus Christ alone..but I can't act as though I haven't seen what God says in His word. God Bless |
