Bible Question: Is all sin equal? Where in the Bible does it say that no sin is greater than another, and is this stated in the context of Jesus' willingness to forgive us our sins, or in the context of the gravity of particular sins? We know that some commandments are greater than others, so shouldn't the violation be similarly of greater import? |
Bible Answer: Hi henri, I would have to say that the sin described in the book of Mark chapter 3 verses 28 and 29 reveal the only unpardonable sin listed in the Bible. Since it is unforgivable it would have to be the worse, or most grievious sin man can commit. verse 28 Jesus speaking; " I tell you the truth, all the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin." Translation; New International Version. may God bless your day, dennis |
