Subject: Paul's evil practices Pre or PostJesus |
Bible Note: 7:14 For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am of flesh, sold into bondage to sin. Christ did not die to redeem our flesh: For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.Gal 5:17 The flesh is the home of sin and this burden uder which we groan will not be removed until the end of our life or the return of our Lord. 1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us. For a christian, any sin is a grievous act and should not be taken lightly. That is why I believe Paul was speaking in the present tense. It seems a hopeless situation until we read the following chapter which begins with "therefore". Beddie Bye time. John |
