AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 1:21 For even though they knew God [as the Creator], they did not honor Him as God or give thanks [for His wondrous creation]. On the contrary, they became worthless in their thinking [godless, with pointless reasonings, and silly speculations], and their foolish heart was darkened. |

Bible Note: DAIRYLEADER5 It is not a matter of forgiveness, of course a divorced person can be forgiven. There is no mention of forgiveness or unforgiveness in the prohibition of a divorced man serving as a pastor. For reasons God never shared He simply said this is want He wanted nothing more nothing less. It is man that reads into this passage and tries to apply his understanding and meanings. We pretend to know what God was thinking and His reason for saying what He said. When in fact we have no idea in the world why God made this prohibition. As for David and Solomon yes they both served as Kings and yes I believe God loved them, but they were never called to pastor. EdB |
