AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 1:21 For even though they knew God [as the Creator], they did not honor Him as God or give thanks [for His wondrous creation]. On the contrary, they became worthless in their thinking [godless, with pointless reasonings, and silly speculations], and their foolish heart was darkened. |

Bible Note: Greetings EdB! - You wrote:"However I do see God saying he has not called divorced men into his service as elders or pastors. God hasn't given a reason for this but I'm sure it is a good one." According to 1 Tim 3:5, I think God does give a reason why the Pastor or Overseer should not be divorced: "but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?" Does your church honor the qualifications for elders and deacons as set forth in God's Word? (mine has not) mommapbs |
