NASB | Romans 1:21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 1:21 For even though they knew God [as the Creator], they did not honor Him as God or give thanks [for His wondrous creation]. On the contrary, they became worthless in their thinking [godless, with pointless reasonings, and silly speculations], and their foolish heart was darkened. |
Subject: Active Homosexuals: Truly Christian? |
Bible Note: Just Read Mark: Your note poses some uncomfortable meanings for me. I fully agree we need to reach out to all sinners of all kinds. I also agree that same sex, sexual active couples need to know the church is there to help and minister to them. As to how we do that is a all together different subject. Just as a hetrosexual couple, that is in an adulterous relationship or single couple living together. I think Paul said that we are not to associate with immoral people, meaning fellow brethern. 1 Corinthians 5:9. and in verse 10 and 11 Paul relates that the "people of the world" are not professing Christians. But in verse 11 Paul deals with Christians in sin that we are not to even eat with. Some call it shunning, but I have rarely seen this happen. The purpose is that they will repent. Then in 1 Corthians 6:9-12 Paul goes into who can not inherit the Kingdom. So how do we Biblically do what you suggest? Any thoughts. justme |
