NASB | Romans 1:21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 1:21 For even though they knew God [as the Creator], they did not honor Him as God or give thanks [for His wondrous creation]. On the contrary, they became worthless in their thinking [godless, with pointless reasonings, and silly speculations], and their foolish heart was darkened. |
Subject: Faithful response to gays / lesbians? |
Bible Note: Moran61: Tim, I am not so sure about "most churches". In most fundamental evangelical churches they have a hard time allowing divorced Christians to teach a Sunday School class, or serve as a Deacon, or even a trustee. That is reguardless of how, when or why these divorced Christians are in many churches eyes second class Christians. With this kind of treatment toward divorced Christians, what do you think their attitude would be to homosexuals? I dread the thought. If Jesus spoke to Matthew the hated tax collector, and the woman at the well, what should be our response Tim? justme (Mike) |
