AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 1:21 For even though they knew God [as the Creator], they did not honor Him as God or give thanks [for His wondrous creation]. Bible Note: Sometimes people do read into the scripture that which is not there. As far as the deacon being the husband of one wife, we hafe to remember were talking old covenent with new. Solloman was a man married to many, but he was chosen of God. In the old covenent it was not a sin. But Jesus changed us to realise that multiple marrages is no longer required to populate the earth. So Hes not speaking of not devorceing for the rong reason , hes speaking that we are only to be married to one pearson at a time. Example, If I had a wife that I married out in sin and she was also a sinner and she committed adultry against me, we devorce, that doesnot later on when God saves me, prevent me from becomming a deacon, even if I remarry a Christian woman. People today say the different, but does God only forgive everything ,except that we were married before?. ,i dont think so. |
