NASB | Romans 1:21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 1:21 For even though they knew God [as the Creator], they did not honor Him as God or give thanks [for His wondrous creation]. Bible Note: Norrie Thanks I really don't know where I got it, either I stole it from someone else or the Holy Spirit gave it to me. But after years of counseling others I have found it exactly describes divorce. And the effects on future marriages and outlooks of both divorced people. I also know after 38 years of marriage it is so very true in my life. There is so much of my wife in me and I in her we almost don't have to talk to know what each other is thinking. Many times we just look to each other and nothing needs to be said. I was truely blessed for God to give me such a wonderful wife. EdB |
