Subject: When will I speak/pray in tongues? |
Bible Note: The real evidence. Ephesians 5:18-20 (NASB) "And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit, *speaking* to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, *singing* and *making melody WITH YOUR HEART* to the Lord; always *giving thanks* for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father;" (Emphasis added) ashestobeauty: For what it's worth, the Assemblies of God and other Pentecostal churches believe that tongues is the initial physical (outward) evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit. The AG author who wrote the book on the Holy Spirit teaches that tongues is the initial physical evidence. However, even he goes on to say that the BEST evidence of being filled with the Spirit is a changed life. This is not to dispute what you said, but to expand upon it. kalos |
