Subject: When will I speak/pray in tongues? |
Bible Note: Greetings Discipled! Yes, Kalos has continually blessed this Forum with the excellent quality of his posts and of his grand observations! He is truly one of the "original" pioneers of this Forum and he is a friend of whom I respect and value. I also believe, along with you, that there is no Scriptural basis whatsoever for the belief that one must speak in tongues in order to be saved, for the evidence of salvation is a changed heart, not speaking in tongues. Also, there is no Scriptural evidence whatsoever for men to speak in an "angelic language". I do believe that speaking in tongues is a spiritual gift, even though I have never personally spoken in tongues and I am convinced that I do not have this gift. Praise the Lord for those who do speak in tongues, since it will help those who do not believe to know that the Gospel is true. I have been blessed with other spiritual gifts that are used to edify the church. Blessings to you, Nolan |
