Subject: What is iniquity in Matthew 7:23? |
Bible Note: Taleb, Well thought out. The first thing that jumps up though is the assertion, "He...actually does CHANGE, as often as He purposes change." Deuteronomy 6:5 "And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. Leviticus 19 :18"...thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD. " Matthew 22:37 "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang (SUM UP) all the law and the prophets. YHWH purpose is constant. Everything in both testaments is His accomplishing that end. If the objective of the war is to "take that hill", whether you use artillery or infantry or snipers does not change the initial objective. The 10 commandments, the 613 commandments, the sermon on the mount are all the same thing---Loving YHWH and your neighbor as yourself. Nothing has changed. You are familiar with the OT, why are these "burdens" resurfacing during the millennium? Zechariah 14:16 "And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the FEAST OF TABERNACLES." Ezekiel 45:17 "And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the FEASTS, and in the new moons, and in the SABBATHS, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the SIN OFFERING, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel." It sounds like Ecclesiastes to me , Ecclesiastes 1:9 "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun." "Greg, do you understand WHO SPOKE this? What does the rest of Scripture say about this individual?" If YHWH can speak through a jack-ass (no jokes please) of what relevance is it who declares the truth? Before I continue I want to ask you a question. Is there a difference between justification and eternal life? Shalom, Greg Boone |
