Subject: What is iniquity in Matthew 7:23? |
Bible Note: gjboone: Greg, thanks for your prompt and civil response; you did not, for whatever reason, answer my questions however, the chief one being "Are you a Christian?" In the many years (over 50) that I've been a Christian, I can't recall ever conversing with a Christian who would not divulge that he was indeed a follower of Christ or, for that matter, conversing with a non-Christian who declined to answer the question, "Are you a Christian." So, if you don't mind, please reveal that much about the status of your faith: Are you, Greg Boone, a Christian? You say that labels have negative associations attached to them? Perhaps you're right to a certain degree. Some possibly do. But the label "Christian" isn't tainted by negatives, not to Christians! The happiest, most glorious and most positive thing I could possibly reveal about myself is that I am a Christian! And, Greg, you in describing yourself to me as a truth seeker aren't really telling me a great deal about yourself, since I know so little about you and even less about what you define as the truth. But I can tell you quickly, using a quotation, what I believe the truth is. The quotation is from John 14:6 "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." This is what I have believed for over 50 years. It is what every genuine Christian believes. Is it what you, Greg, believe too? Grace to you. --Hank |
