1 | Is private speaking in tongues Biblical? | Acts 2:6 | retxar | 27830
1Co 14:14 For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful. 1Co 14:15 What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding. 1Co 14:28 But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God. ....let him speak to himself and to God. That sounds pretty private to me, how abot you? retxar |

2 | Is private speaking in tongues Biblical? | Acts 2:6 | The Disciple | 28473
retxar, that is what Paul is trying to say, KEEP IT TO YOURSELF .... it isnt edidying the body to speak/pray in a tongue unless it is edifying the body. But he also states in vs 14, that if he prays this way his understanding is unfruitful. What is the conclusion then? Check out my post to tracebrown ... I believe we are all on the same page ..ya think? |

What is the conclusion then? Well, according to Paul's Holy Spirit inspired commentary; (not mine, yours, or others) "I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding." I think I will just go with that! Bless you in the coming year! Jesus, the author and finisher! retxar |
