1 | Active Homosexuals: Truly Christian? | Rom 1:21 | justme | 87043
Hank: Greetings from the fine state above yours. I am not attempting to answer your question, but have a question for you. On the Bible Answer Man last week the founder of Exodus Ministry was Hanks guest. The question was asked what happens when a homosexual who confesses his or her, sin and repents and sometime later stumbles, and repents? Are they truely saved? That was the question asked on the radio. Their answer was that most do fall off the wagon. But they are encouraged to repent and confess 1 John 1:9. I my self think this is a question I do not have solid answers for. I do look at David and see some aspects of his life I find almost humanly unforgiveable, yet God said "he is a man after my heart". Could you please give me your opinion? Thank you and God Bless. justme |

2 | Active Homosexuals: Truly Christian? | Rom 1:21 | Hank | 87222
Justme, sorry to have missed your question, but herewith my belated answer. The only person who ever lived a life on this earth free of sin was Jesus Christ. Truly regenerated believers can sin and they do. "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness...And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. (1 John 1:8,9; 2:1b). Stumbling, confessing and repenting is not the same thing as living a life of sin -- continuing a life over which sin has dominion. To continue in an habitual practice of homosexual acts which God clearly calls an abomination to Him cannot be viewed as merely stumbling but as willful and deliberate. And if it is claimed, as some do, that homosexual acts which God calls an abomination are not sinful, they make Him a liar and His word is not in them (see 1 John 1:10). ... A personal note: Having read your updated user profile, I am saddened to hear of your illness and will surely keep you in my prayers. --Hank

Hank: I am sure that be it drugs, dirnking, or whatever the potential for a relaps is a possibility in anyone repenting of a life inbeded pattern. There is no hope without Christ as Lord, and a determined spirit to drowned oneself in the Word and being in the fellowship af a soild Bible based Church. Sin has a grip that is harder than cement, and if one does not have the true conviction of sin and the shame to never return the battle is lost before it begins. Sometimes it's asking for Gods help one minuet at a time if that's all we can deal with. I think many of who found the Lord Jesus latter in life know the path od addictive sin in our life. I know if we learn to hate the sin as much as we need to breath, with the Holy Spirits help anything can be overcome. Thank you for remembering me in your prayer. We have been praying to be inthe Lords direct will. With the belief that that is the perfect pace to be, reguardless of what ever situation is. I am praying the Lord will use me to share Christ with those who need the Hope of Jesus Christ and yet are living with a tempoary illness that may take then into eternity to face a worse eternal life with no hope of ant kind. Psalm 139 and the 23 Psalm mean so much more now. I continue to lift up Ray whom is far more needing our prayers. Blessings to you! justme, Mike |
