To add to your specific question, the matter of tongues had a goal of edification in all the argument of Paul. And when we see the concept of edification in the Bible, we see the other persons to be edified. It is just a logical conclusion to make, no? Therefore, what is the way to edify nobody but myself when I use the prayer in tongues. Or put in another way. Would God be ready to accept my interpretation of that gift, if according to Paul, I would have to understand something else? If the answer is yes, therefore I wonder why Paul is putting so much emphasis to edification of the church in so doing while I would be alone in my room. If the answer is no, therefore you have immediately your answer. | ||||||

Tongues has been mistaught in church ... including the private aspect. Just read the Bible and see the truth. | ||||||
