Subject: Where does Jesus say He is God? |
Bible Note: Greetings Nancy! This forum is not about "blind faith" in the Bible. It is a forum designed for those who have accepted the authority of the Bible to study it indepth. Most of those here, myself included, have done the research long ago to reach our understanding of the Bible's authority. But, I would like to challenge your "blind faith" :-) in everything that is not the Bible. Why would you accept what 'Q' or 'The gospel of Thomas' have to say, but reject what the Bible says? Both of these 'documents' were written at or about the same time as the Bible. Both were written with an agenda. So, what makes them more authoritative than the Bible? My position is that they are more acceptable to Unitarians because they don't make the same exclusive claims that the Bible makes. The Bible is not rejected because of any real evidence against it, but because of a bias against it's message. Because, if the Bible is true, than there is only one way to salvation - Jesus. If the Bible is true, man is lost apart from Christ. If the Bible is true, all other religions are misleading people. It is my belief that these are the reasons the Bible is rejected, not because of any evidence against its authority. If you really want to answer my questions, please e-mail me at Morant62@hotmail.com. I would be more than happy to discuss this issues with you. Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
