Subject: Where does Jesus say He is God? |
Bible Note: Hi Steve This a good question, that you have raised. It's something that many Chritian and other religions don't seem get the point. Jesus when on earth, was neutral when it came to wordly governments, but he was a supporter of his Father Kingdom. ( many scriptures on this.)(He said to be as an Alien resident)That's why he said to his followers that even though you are in the world , be no part of it just as I am no part of it. (I use this scripture in a earlier post.)Jesus talked to people about Gods kingdom all the time. He supported himself as a tent maker. He was peaceable not getting involved in any wars, and told his followers to do the same. So true Christians donnot get involved in such things rather they were to spend their time in the ministry talking about Gods Kingdom. 2Cor 10:3 3For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 6And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete. Matthew 26 52"Put your sword back in its place," Jesus said to him, "for all who draw the sword will die by the sword. Matt 7:21 21"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' 23Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!' There are many Scriptures on what Jesus followers should be like. jme |
