Subject: Where does Jesus say He is God? |
Bible Note: It says in this verse that the word was with God, and the Word was God. It says here that the word was with God. Not that he was the same God. I Cor 8:5 mentions many Gods and Lords. You also have to use this scripture with all the rest in the Bible , and I mentioned a number of these in my earlier post. Jesus says that he was with God and the Bible says that he was the first born. Also when Jesus was killed you are saying that they killed God.But the Bible says that God sent his only begotten Son,to be a mediator between man and God. and Jesus says many time that he is Gods son.The other thing that is interesting is that the life that Jesus lost was a perfect human created life. It was to make an a perfect exchange a life for a life. But if God was put to death, that would not have been a proper balance, for an uncreated God is much more than a perfect man.No matter what form he is in. So scripture out of context or with out useing all the Bible can bring one to a inaccurate conclution. 1 Cor8:5- 5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or on earth; as there are gods many, and lords many; 6 yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we unto him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through him. It mentions 1 God and one Lord Jesus Christ, and it is through him are all things. interesting stuff :) jme |
