Subject: Where does Jesus say He is God? |
Bible Note: Greetings Nancy! The only problem with 'Q' is that it doesn't exist. It is a theoretical document which many scholars believe may have been used as a common source for the synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke). However, there is no known manuscript of 'Q', assuming that it ever really did exist. What we do have though, are thousands of copies of the New Testament manuscripts, which as Steve correctly pointed out to you, agree on about 95 to 99 percent of their readings. Plus, the small number of variant readings which do exist in no way impact a single major doctrine of the Bible. We would be much better off trusting the documents of the Bible which actually exist over a theoretical document which no one has seen. :-) Your Brother in Christ, Tim Moran |
