Every year on our national holiday I am reminded of a joke one of my kids tried to play on their old fuzzy-headed dad. My son asked me, "Dad, do they have a fourth of July in England?" I thought about the careful way he had worded his question and then replied with the air of one who possesses infinite wisdom: "Yes, I believe they do, since the last time I checked they use the same calendar that we do."
