AMPLIFIED 2015 | Job 1:8 The LORD said to Satan, "Have you considered and reflected on My servant Job? For there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God [with reverence] and abstains from and turns away from evil [because he honors God]." |

Bible Note: Darktanianxx, Satan did have the power of death (Heb. 2:14); that is, Satan could wield the "power of death" by inducing people to sin, and therefore, making them come under sin's penalty, which is death (Ezek. 18:4; Rom. 5:12, 6:23), but Satan had absolutely no claim on Christ, because Christ was without sin. And nowhere in the Bible does it say that the people who nailed Him to the cross and put a spear in His side where "possessed" or under the control of Satan. Therefore, we should ask "Why did Christ have to die in the first place?" The easy answer is: To fulfill the Scriptures.. But the real answer is: To free us from the Law of sin and death. The Law is only valid during one's lifetime (Romans 7:1), but Christ's sacrifice for us is for all time. As you can see, I have put a lot of thought into this, and it would be interesting to see how you justify your comment that "Satan killed God." Blessings to you, Makarios |
