Simchat How was you vacation? Refreshing I trust. As to your question. Please explain your convoluted logic here, “ it isn't in the Bible so...” “Automobiles” isn't in the Bible yet millions exist. Trinity isn't in the Bible your right, but the Trinity is clearly demonstrated in the Bible. Kabbalah however is neither mentioned nor demonstrated in the Bible. However that fact alone does not invalidate Kabbalah, that is done by the Bible itself. Col. 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ. Galatians 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As whether this is a Study Bible or a Christian Study Bible there is no difference. The Old Testament foretold of Jesus and the New reports His fulfillment of what the Old Testament foretold. The whole Bible is about Jesus. Therefore the answer has to be, this is a Christian Study Bible. If you want to study vain philosophies then I guess you could have an interest in Kabbalah but that seems to be such a waste of time since we have the truth before us. To study anything other than Christ of the Bible would be nonsense, since Jesus is the way, the truth, and the light. EdB |

2 | self control / spirit control | 1 Cor 9:25 | Simchat Torah | 55855
Shalom Ed; Yes, it was very refreshing, was able to spend alot of time on my new book project. For you to say; Kabbalah however is neither mentioned nor demonstrated in the Bible. is your opinion, I believe that it is overwhelmingly found in the Bible. You quote the passage that state that we are not to follow after a false gospel, and this I concur 100 percent. Which is why I follow the true gospel. I still leave my question to you open, what in the kabbalah's teachings of the "ten sephirot of the tree of life" is contrary to scripture? Shalom Simchat Torah. |

3 | self control / spirit control | 1 Cor 9:25 | EdB | 55857
Simcaht Glad to hear you had a good time. Getting away is a good time to write. It seems that new surroundings stimulate the brain and ideas deeply buried bubble up. Come on! You know as well as I do anyone with just a passing knowledge of "ten sephirot of the tree of life" will see no problem. The problem is in the idea that all creation emanated from the essence of God rather out of nothing. The Kabbulah conclusion then becomes that since we are of the same essence as God, we therefore are gods. That my friend is what we call humanism today. Give it up guy!! Kabbulah is not going to sell to this audience. If you want to discuss the Bible from a orthodox Judo/Christian perspective let’s go. However if you going to keep trying to sell this Kabbulah mysticism you will probably find far more productive fields elsewhere. EdB |

Shalom Ed; But God made Moses God - Exodus 7:1 and the Lord said to Moses, Look, I have made you God to Pharoah and Aaron your brother will be your prophet. Shalom Simchat Torah |

5 | self control / spirit control | 1 Cor 9:25 | EdB | 55873
Simchat You miss the what God was saying here, God was saying He would empower Moses so as to look as a god to Pharoah with Aaron acting as his mouth piece or prophet. There is nothing Kallabala here. |

Shalom Ed; I believe you adding to the text, it does not say that he will look as God, the Hebrew literally says "I give you God (elohiym)". Moses recieved God from God. Shalom Simchat Torah |

Simchat "I give you God" does that make sense? Or your explanation. "Moses received God from God", how do you received god? God is a pronoun the name of deity. You can receive maybe his power, his attributes but not the pronoun God. Therefore the passage must be translated to make sense. As you said the verse says "I give you God" and since he is talking about Moses before his adversary Pharaoh the only sense we can make from it is God, will make Moses appear as a God before Pharaoh. Meaning as mighty, as powerful, as strong. God never said he would make him God, God said there was one God and only one God. Simchat in Kabbalah has you this mixed up don’t you think it is time to lay it aside and get back to the truth? Jesus is the truth, the way and the light. No one comes to the Father but through Him. There is no magic enlightenment you need to find, no ten step process intended to draw you closer to God, you need to find Jesus. Simchat you were raised in a Christian home, you have had the truth revealed to you, why now do you resist the truth and turn to vain philosophy of man. The truth isn’t elusive it can be found in the John 3:16. EdB |
