Dear Bub, It is written: Col 2:16,17 "Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-- things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ." I suggest you revisit Hebrews 4 for further instruction in righteouness. Note: Sarcasem is not an endearing trait. John |

Dear John: You quoted, “Col 2:16,17 "Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day-- things which are a mere shadow of what is to come; but the substance belongs to Christ." What exactly were you trying to convey to me……keeping in mind that the topic at hand was “hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ”. (v8). Thanks………Bub |

Dear Bub, I was replying to your post to Ed in which you implied that he was remiss in not observing festival days. (Dear Ed, You said, “I understand how Jesus is a fulfillment of the festivals”. ..Do you celebrate the festivals with that in mind?) This thread has become unwieldy. I suggest we begin a new one.
