1 | a righteous man | Job 1:8 | EdB | 58323
Darktanianxx I’m not sure what all that is about. I hope you weren’t inferring one of us doesn’t understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ like you do. That point aside, again I state we do not know Satan’s ulterior motive. As I said before we can see Satan's pride, we can see his handiwork, we know what Jesus called him the father of lies, a thief, a roaring lion seeking to kill steal and destroy. We know Satan is in rebellion to God, what we don’t know is what he hopes to accomplish. We know Satan is in subjection to God, we see this in his answering of God’s questions, we know Satan's demons respond and obey to God. So we see while Satan in some form of subjection he is also in total rebellion yet what does he hope to accomplish? Satan has to know he can’t kill God so what is Satan trying to do? This can’t be answered this side of heaven because we have not been given that answer. If you know the answer please let me know. EdB |
Satan has to know he can’t kill God so what is Satan trying to do? This can’t be answered this side of heaven because we have not been given that answer
...... I think you might be presuming that he knows he can't kill God, and that the answer has not been given........[rev 19:19] "Then I saw the beast and the rulers and leaders of the earth with their troops mustered to go into battle and make war against him who is mounted on the horse and against his troops." ....... The ultimate goal of satan is to destroy God and all who follow him. Just because some one don't know the answer to something, does not always mean that one don't exist!
3 | a righteous man | Job 1:8 | EdB | 58369
Darktanianxx (Quote)Just because some one don't know the answer to something, does not always mean that one don't exist! Your right and I'm sure an answer exists we just don't know what it is. Your sure Satan thinks he can kill God and personally I don't think he is that stupid. I think there is he has some other seemingly obtainable goal . The passage you quoted Rev 19:19 has the beast leading the charge, if we know anything about Satan is he will not give a second thought about wasting someone. The Antichrist might think he is an friend of Satan, but fact he is just another deceived pawn in Satan’s service. That passage does not prove Satan thinks he can kill God. EdB |

[qoute]Your sure Satan thinks he can kill God and personally I don't think he is that stupid. I think there is he has some other seemingly obtainable goal
If you don't think he's that stupid, then why did he rebell in the first place? Second of he knows he has but a short time. He knows that he will be cast into the lake of fire. Even human logic cries out, that to not be thrown into eternal fire, he would have to kill God. You can believe what you want, but you will be missing out on an important way of looking at a piece of the truth. ........ |

5 | a righteous man | Job 1:8 | EdB | 58379
Darktanianxx You have it all figured out in human logic, however human logic falls short. Scripture says God laughs at our wisdom. You may be right and Satan is that stupid and thinks he can kill God. However that is not seen in his actions where he answers to God and submits to God. No I believe Satan has another goal, of which neither you or I have any concept of. I wonder if we don’t see a glimpse of it in the Book of Job. God is more or less bragging on His servant Job and Satan is responses that he only worships God because of what God has given him. To me this speaks of something far deeper than Satan thinking he can kill God. In any case we have the end of the Book and we can clearly see whatever Satan’s goal he fails and God’s victory is assured. EdB |
