Bible Note: (Deut 23:21) When thou shalt vow a vow unto the LORD thy God, thou shalt not slack to pay it: for the LORD thy God will surely require it of thee; and it would be sin in thee. This is you 'Key!' Did you say Wedding Vows to God? Were those vows something like this: For Better or Worse, in Sickenss and in Health, For richer or poorer, 'till death do you part?' Then the Word is clear! (Matt 12:37) For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. You say that you are married to a Pastor? What did the Church do? It is the responsibility for the Church to exercise these verses: (Matt 18:15) Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.(Matt 18:16) But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. (Matt 18:17) And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. Now I know that many people that call themselves Christian violate these next verses: (1Corinthians 6:1-8) Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? (1Cor 6:2) Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? (1Cor 6:3) Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? (1Cor 6:4) If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. (1Cor 6:5) I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?(1Cor 6:6) But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. (1Cor 6:7) Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?(1Cor 6:8) Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren. Notice V5, "I speak this to your shame!" The World wants to see how Christians act under adversity, yet many who call themselves Christian do not "Obey the Word!" "THEY USE CHRISTIAN LAWYERS TO DIVORCE THEIR SPOUSE WITH CHRISTIAN JUDGES, BEFORE THE WORLD?" What is wrong with 'that picture?' What then does the Word say to You, in your particular situation? (1Corinthinas 7:10-11) And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: (1Cor 7:11) But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried, or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband divorce his wife. The only exception to this is if your husband has committed Adultery! That is your option according to Matthew 18:8-9. There are other verses that deal with that, especailly if your husband has not committed adultery or has just plain left you. (1Corinthinas 7:39) The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord. (Romans 7:1-2) Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth? (Rom 7:2) For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. (Mark 10:11-12) And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall divorce his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. (Mark 10:12) And if a woman shall divorce her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery. There are more divorces among those that "call the Name of Christ" than among Un-Believers! I will leave you with one final thought: (James 1:22) But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
