Bible Question: so in my situation, my husband abused me physically, emotionally, and spiritually, I could NOT get him to stop, so I should stay in that relationship and keep begging him to quit hurting me, because I am bound by GOD? Is that God's plan for me? I have to suffer for the rest of my life, and possibly get killed because Of Religious LAWS? |
Bible Answer: You are bound by the law, 1Corinthians 7:39 says "the wife is bound BY THE LAW as long as her husband lives". God never gives up on us, when I gave up on God and did all manner of evil, He never gave up on me, He wants to change the situation around. Before you were born, God knew you, He knew the situation you would be in today, He loves you and is concerned about your needs and will protect you. No weapon formed against you shall prosper, Isaiah 54:17. We are in the army of God, we are to shod our feet with the Gospel of Peace, we are not to shoot each other. We are the temple of God, we are to guard it at ALL cost, even against our own spouse. I'm not a marriage councelor, but in Epesians 5:25,28 says that men are to love their wives to the point of laying down our lives as Jesus layed down His life for us! You should seek shelter away from your husband and be in a safe enviroment. Have him seek Godly council. He is role playing from what he learned from his past, he knows no better, that's why he acts the part of being a good person. It's not his fault, he needs to be guided to the right source. Believe me there are many other Christians that are in his shoes. Start with prayer, Our God hears and answers. I'm not finger pointing, but lets face it, you are the other half, you also was attracted to him for whatever reason. and it's not your fault either, had you known better you would have made better choices. Be obiedent to God, He will get your life in order! All things happen together for the good, to them who love God, and are CALLED according to his purpose, even IN the situation you are in. God richly Bless You in this time of your need. |
