Bible Note: Hey Tim, Again, we have a difference of opinion on the interpretation of Jesus' signs. I'm using NASB, NRSV, and NKJV. None of mine say "visible," so I can't debate that. Mine say "flashes," which again indicates to me a brief happenstance that's over quickly. Lightning flashes for a matter of seconds. While lightning is visible from the east to the west, it is still brief, unexpected, destructive, and over almost as soon as it begins. Xerxes |
